Beginning Yoga

Beginning Yoga, aka Yoga 101

This class gets back to basics, and is a great class if you are new to yoga. It is also a good class for anyone, even experienced yogis, who might want to slow down and review fundamentals.

What are the fundamentals?  We will discover what it means to build core strength and stability, explore alignment that feels right in your body, and become aware of how breath and body work together.  You will learn how to adapt poses and movements specifically for your body, which will allow you to enter other classes with more confidence.

The introduction to basic poses and pose names will also give you an understanding that will support you as you move into other classes.  You will begin to improve strength, flexibility, and balance, and maybe learn to find more ease in your body.

This is a slow moving class, and we allow time for questions and exploration.  This class also has a chair option for those who may not be able to get down on the floor.

This class takes place in our 7th St studio, so space is limited. Please register in advance for this class.

Mondays, 5:30-7pm at the 7th St studio
Teacher: Amy
Who is this class for?  This is a beginning level class for anyone new to yoga. Chair options are available, and all levels and abilities are welcome.
